| Allianz Commercial’s Key Partnership Academy has recently completed training with its 500th broker.
The Academy was set up in 2007 following extensive research with the company’s Key Partner brokers which highlighted a need in the market to offer broker tailored training.
Allianz’s Key Partnership non-financial benefits programme offers a vast array of services including training and development, events, networking and trading benefits.
Allianz worked with an independent specialist training company, Insurance Training Partnership, to deliver and design a broad spectrum of modules for brokers. The insurer refreshed and further expanded its programme in 2008, to offer even more modules, following feedback from brokers.
Phillip Spalding, broker development manager, Allianz Commercial, said: "At Allianz, we invest heavily in the capabilities our people and we are pleased to be able to work with our Key Partners in supporting the technical development of their employees by offering training and development programmes."
John Scott, training manager, Clark Thomson, added: "Clark Thomson is very appreciative of the training provided via the Allianz Key Partnership Academy. The feedback from our staff attending these events has been extremely positive and has set a standard which is of the highest level. The benefits to staff have been cascaded across the group and we look forward to more opportunities to participate in the Key Partnership Academy in the future."
The Academy is free to selected Key Partners. There are now seven training modules, all of which carry 25 CPD points, recognised by the CII. The modules cover a variety of topics including SME and general insurance principles, property, motor fleet, liability and business interruption. The success of the programme has seen participating brokers request further expansion of the modules, which are in development. They will also have exclusive access to Allianz tuition groups and Allianz's Key Partner CII scholarship programme.
