Oliver Davies has become the new executive assistant to Allianz Commercial’s general manager, Chris Hanks.

Oliver joined the Allianz graduate scheme in 2006 after completing his degree in Business Studies at the University of Sheffield. As a member of the scheme, Oliver had the opportunity to experience a wide range of different roles across the company, including commercial underwriting, sales team leader at Petplan and a project coordinator within Claims.

Since joining Allianz, Oliver has continued his personal development and achieved the Advanced Diploma from the CII and a Merit Diploma in Sales and Marketing Management.

In his new role, Oliver will be supporting Chris as well as playing an integral part within the UK Commercial Executive team, working closely with the Commercial Management Board, account managers and branch colleagues.

Commenting on his new role, Oliver said: "I’m delighted to be furthering my understanding of both Allianz and the industry under the guidance of Chris Hanks. I look forward to working closely with the Commercial executive team, which will enable me to gain valuable experience of how a large successful commercial insurer is strategically managed."
